Dzień 7, 7.09.18 Pilzno- Weiden 100km

Ahoj gościnne Czechy! Ruszyliśmy punkt 8.30 z pilzneńskiego, przepięknego rynku w kierunku granicy z Niemcami. Od Čestmira dowiedzieliśmy się, że czeskie „cześć” to skrót od łacińskiego wyrażenia Ad HOnorem Jesu! (czyli: Ku chwale Jezusa!). Co najbardziej zaskakujące ,to że przejął to niemorski kraj jakim są Czechy od …żeglarzy. “Ahoj” krzyczane na morzu pojawiło się wówczas, kiedy wykrzykiwano to do statków, żeby się dowiedzieć, czy ci co właśnie nadpływają to nie jacyś Saraceni. Sprawdźmy lepiej; nasi to, czy obcy? Na morzach i jeziorach zawołanie to pozostało do dziś.

Na granicy nasi koledzy z Niemiec nie mówili Ahoj, a Herzliche Wilkommen. Na leśnej drodze czekała na nas grupa lionów z na czele z DG Wolfgangiem Deblerem i naszym contact person w Weiden, Wolfgangiem Wuerschingerem. Pobliskie miasto reprezentował burmistrz Johan Mauer. Wybiegliśmy z Polski z dwoma flagami Polski i UE, do Czech wbiegliśmy z trzema flagami: Polski, Czech i UE. Teraz dodaliśmy flagę niemiecką. Cieszyliśmy się wspólnie, że tak gdzie jeszcze 30 latemu stały czołgi i karabiny maszynowe, teraz jedynie mała tabliczka przypomina o granicy między dwoma unijnymi, zaprzyjaźnionymi państwami. W lipcu byłem na wycieczce na Białorusi. Nasz autobus, jedyny na granicy, czekał na odprawę blisko 3 godz- no comments.

Ostatni odcinek przed Weiden biegną Jacek z Mateuszem, końcówkę znów wszyscy razem, wraz z 4 flagami. Trzy kilometry przed metą dołączyli biegacze z Weiden: Maria, Klaus, Ludwig, Herald, Georg i Martin. Niektórzy biegają maratony ok. 4 h, Maria 3:20, a jeden z naszych nowych współbiegaczy 2:44 (sic!). Znów mogli nas przeczołgać, skończyło się na wspólnym biegu z tą samą prędkością w tym samym kierunku.

Tego jeszcze nie było. Na rynku czekali na nas przedstawiciele miasta i Lions Klubów wraz z 20 osobową orkiestrą ludową Stadt Kapelle Weiden- OPF. Od DG Wolfganga Deblera i naszego wspaniałego organizatora Wolfganga Wuerschingera dowiedzieliśmy się, że lioni z Weiden, 50 tys. miasteczka, wsparli cel charytatywny FCR 2018 donacją w wys. 1000 Euro. Dzięki w imieniu dzieci, tych którym zamierzamy pomóc.

Dzisiaj doszła do nas wspaniała wiadomość! Ale o tym już jutro…

Ahoj friendly Czechia! We started to run to German border from beautiful Pilzen market at 8.30 in the morning. Čestimir told us that „hi” in their language stems from Latin phrase Ad honorem Jesu (For the glory of Jesus). It is astonishing especially because people of Czechia took it from sailors despite the fact that their country is not situated by the sea. Seamen used the phrase in order to confirm that approaching ship is not the Saracen enemy. That was the way to check whether it is coming friend or foe. Phrase is still used today by the sea and lake.
At the border, friends from Germany greet us with phrase ”Herzliche Wilkommen” instead of “Ahoj”. Alongside the path in the forest, there were group of “lions” leaded by DG Wolfgang Debler and our contact person in Weiden, Wolfgang Wuerschinger. City nearby was represented by mayor Johan Mauer. We started our run in Poland with two flags, Polish and UE, we crossed the German-Czech border with three flags, Polish, UE and Czech. Now we added German flag to the stack. We are happy that were 30 year ago were tanks and machine guns now only small boards reminds that there is a border between two European Union countries. On July, I was on trip in Belarus. Our bus was the only one waiting for customs clearance for 3 hours – no comment.
Last part before Weiden, Jack and Matthew ran on their shift, however we crossed finishing line traditionally all together, that time with 4 flags. Three km ahead of finishing line, runners from Weiden: Maria, Klaus, Ludwig, Herald, Georg and Marting had joined us. Some of the runs marathons approximately in 4 hours, Maria 3:20, and one of them even 2:44 (sic!). They could rush us to run faster but they did not, we ran together with the same pace.
There was something new. At the market, there were city hall representatives and Lions Club members with 20 people from folk orchestra Stadt Kapelle Weiden – OPF. We found out that Lions from Weiden where 50K people lives, donated 1 000 EUR to FCR 2018. Thank you very much on behalf of children who we are going to support.
