Historia biegu FCR
Bieg organizowany jest corocznie od 2013 r. przez członków największej humanitarnej organizacji na świecie Lions Clubs. Przez minione 5 lat uczestnicy biegu przebiegli ponad 3000 km w 6 krajach (Polska, Niemcy, Litwa, Łotwa, Japonia i USA), na 3 kontynentach. W tym czasie zebrali ok. 70 tys. dolarów na pomoc dla dzieci w Niemczech, na Ukrainie, na Łotwie, w Nepalu i w Syrii. Patronatami biegu do tej pory byli prezydenci 4 krajów: Polski (2 prezydentów), Niemiec, Litwy i Łotwy.
Coroczny cel biegu:
- Budowanie i umacnianie przyjaźni między narodami. Pokazywanie lepszego świata bez granic: politycznych, społecznych i rasowych, w którym ludzie żyją w przyjaźni i pokoju.
- Zbieranie funduszów na dzieci w potrzebie, w różnych stronach świata.
Szczególny cel biegu 2018:
- Uczczenie 100-lecia zakończenia I Wojny Światowej oraz odzyskania przez Polskę niepodległości, a także podkreślenie znaczenia Unii Europejskiej dla dalszego pokojowego rozwoju Europy i przyjaźni między narodami.
- Zebranie funduszów na pomoc dla dzieci:
50% uciekinierów z Syrii, mieszkających w obozie w Arsal na terytorium Libanu
50% dla Matyldy Klimowicz, rocznej dziewczynki, która urodziła się z niedorozwojem nóżki – konieczna jest operacja w USA

Start 1.09.18 Poznań
Meta 12.09.18 Strasburg (przed siedzibą Parlamentu Europejskiego)
Trasa biegu:
Bieg odbędzie się na trasie 1 049 km i będzie prowadzić przez 4 kraje Polskę, Czechy, Niemcy i Francję. Sart odbędzie się 1.09. o godz. 10.00 w Poznaniu, a następnie przez Leszno, Wrocław, Kamienną Górę, Jicin, Pragę, Pilzno, Weiden, Norymbergę, Aalen, Herrenburg I Kehl dn. 12.09 o godz. 16.00 biegacze powinni dobiec do Strasburga.
W efekcie zakończenia I Wojny Światowej Polska, podobnie jak Czechy, odzyskała ponownie niepodległość. Od 2004 r. jest członkiem Unii Europejskiej. Przy okazji tego biegu, w setną rocznicę zakończenia I Wojny Światowej, pragniemy podkreślić fundamentalne znaczenie Unii Europejskiej nie tylko dla naszego bezpieczeństwo, demokracji i dobrobytu ale także dla pokoju na całym świecie.
Bieg Freedom Charity Run 2018 uzyskał patronat Przewodniczącego Parlamentu Europejskiego Antonio Tajaniego, a także prezydentów Poznania i Wrocławia.
Nic tak nie zbliża ludzi jak wspólny bieg ramię w ramię, z tą samą prędkością, w tym samym kierunku.

FCR history:
The race has been organized annually since 2013 by members of the largest humanitarian organization in the world, Lions Clubs. Over the past 5 years, participants in the run have gone over 3,000 km in 6 countries (Poland, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Japan and the USA), on 3 continents. During this time, they collected approx. 70,000 dollars to help children in Germany, Ukraine, Latvia, Nepal and Syria. Patrons of the run have so far been the presidents of 4 countries: Poland (2 presidents), Germany, Lithuania and Latvia.
The annual goal of the run:
1. Building and strengthening friendships between nations. Showing a better world without borders: political, social and racial, in which people live in friendship and peace.
2. Collecting funds for children in need, in different parts of the world.
The special goal of the 2018 run:
1. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War and regaining independence by Poland, as well as underlining the importance of the European Union for the further peaceful development of Europe and friendship between nations.
2. Collection of funds for help for children:
– 50% of refugees from Syria who live in the Arsal camp in Lebanon
– 50% for Matylda Klimowicz, an annual girl who was born with hypopneal leg disease – US surgery is needed

The route of the run:
The race will take place on the 1049 km route and will lead Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany and France through 4 countries. On the occasion of this race, on the hundredth anniversary of the end of World War I, we would like to emphasize the fundamental importance of the European Union not only for our security, democracy and prosperity but also for peace throughout the world.
Freedom Charity Run 2018 run the patronage of the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, as well as presidents of Poznań and Wrocław.
